Anodized Aluminum Square Tube - Processing Instructions
Anodized aluminum square tubes are available in a large selection of cross-sections. The anodized layer is electrically non-conductive, very hard, and can be colored upon request. The anodized layer consists of Al2O3 and is very thin and firmly bonded to the aluminum substrate. The hardness of the anodized layer is approximately 8-9 on the ten-point Mohs scale. The surface treatment, anodizing, is carried out before cutting – i.e., the cut edges are bare.

General Product Information for Construction Profiles
Square Tubes / Square Profiles
The aluminum square tubes / square profiles are made of the aluminum alloy AlMgSi0.5/EN AW-6060 with a mill-finish, anodized, or black powder-coated surface and are very easy to process. Bare square tubes can be welded (using TIG or MIG welding processes), anodized, and coated. The scope of delivery includes custom cuts from 100mm to 2,800mm. However, you can also order 6,000mm aluminum tubes and cut them to the desired lengths yourself.
Notes
Note 1.) The hollow tubes have sharp edges; please open the packaging carefully and wear gloves if necessary. Note 2.) The surface of the aluminum tubes in mill-finish may have small scratches, which is common for this type of product. These can be easily polished away if necessary.
