When building aviaries or a bird cage, you should always consider in your planning to offer the birds enough space and room to live. Should it be an outdoor aviary or an indoor aviary? How large should the optimal species-appropriate cage be? Resting places, but also enrichment opportunities and sufficient freedom of movement must also be taken into account. Which material for the enclosure?
The aluminum profile is probably one of the most common materials in aviary construction for building aviaries. Many bird species tend to gnaw through wood with their sharp beaks. DIY Building Instructions with ALUSTECK®
1.1. All products for the cage or aviary can be ordered in our online shop, configured according to your individual wishes. Your individual DIY kit for your new aluminum aviary will now be processed by us.
1.2. The assembly instructions for aviaries are very simple. Once all ALUSTECK® products have been delivered, you only need to assemble the aluminum square tubes with or without a web and the corner connectors into a cage by simply plugging them together and then firmly tapping them with a plastic-headed hammer.
1.3. Supplement the aviary construction for your birds as you wish with ALUSTECK® accessories and install flaps, doors, and other devices. For the mesh surfaces, use aviary wire or fine-mesh fence wire. For square tubes with a web, the web serves as a surface to attach the wire using self-tapping screws with washers, pop rivets, special tension wire holders, or cable ties.
Sliding doors for feed insertion or partial claddings with panel material to protect the animals from weather can also be built this way.

Individual Shapes and Dimensions for Your Birdcage
The practical plug-in system construction for the bird aviary is available in two colors. Build the outdoor aviary for the garden or indoor aviary with black profiles and black connectors, or choose silver anodized or plain aluminum profiles in conjunction with light grey plug-in connectors.
You can also attach your bird cage to existing buildings, saving one or two exterior walls. For indoor aviaries, however, we recommend building complete bird cages. With us, you get everything for individual cage construction and your custom-made aviary!
Whether a simple indoor aviary or complex outdoor facilities – with ALUSTECK® cages, you build like the pros and are guaranteed to get an adequate birdhouse for your feathered friends. Of course, you also have the option to modify your construction later.
Please note that one of the most important criteria when building an aviary is its size. Generally, the more space an aviary offers your feathered friends, the better it is. Crucial here is not only the height of the cage but also its width. Very few birds take off vertically and then fly permanently in a steep climb. Therefore, it is understandable that an aviary which is tall but at the same time very narrow offers significantly less room for movement than a flatter but wider aviary. Therefore, choose sufficiently large aviary elements if you are working with an element kit system. For a large aviary, it is also important that it offers sufficiently large access so that you can feed the birds and clean the aviary properly.
