The right choice for the material for the multifunction dolly track for DIY:
I tinkered with the perfect rail for a long time, which unfortunately resulted in a rather horrendous sum, as I constantly had to order new parts. So that you don't have to suffer so much, I have of course also prepared a material list (see below). You can easily adopt this one-to-one, and the parts, including custom-fit cutting, will already be on their way to you.
At first, I wasn't sure which parts would be best suited, but then I came across Alusteck online, the manufacturer of industrial shelving parts. The aluminum profile parts offered here are specifically designed for high loads. I think, with these, the dolly track will not pose a challenge for them. Furthermore, it's like “LEGO for Adults”, as various aluminum profile shapes and connectors can be found here in the Alusteck Shop.

Pro Tip: Once you have assembled the parts, I recommend buying or borrowing a pop rivet gun and some rivets (some friend or relative surely owns such a tool) and drilling and riveting the rail at the connection points. This contributes to even greater stability.
