Step 1: Camping Kitchen Building Instructions System Carrier Top Part
Material and Construction Upper Part / System Carrier
Material and construction of the system carrier top part of the camping kitchen. See also Material assignment bill of materials. To connect the aluminum profiles (Pos. 1+2+3), the connectors (Pos. 4) are forcefully hammered into the aluminum square tubes with a plastic hammer.
1. Fixing the screw-on tenon
Attach two screw-on tenons (Pos. 6) each to the aluminium square tubes (Pos. 1+2) using the self-tapping metal screws (Pos. 8). Make sure that all screw-on tenons are fastened at the same spacing.
2. Pro tip: glue the plug-in connector
For a very stable construction we recommend using a cyanoacrylate-based adhesive. To do this, apply the glue evenly to the inside of the respective tube openings.
3. The system carrier element fully assembled
Once all parts are installed, the top part, the system carrier, is finished. The hinges (Pos. 5) and the metal screws (Pos. 7) are needed in the last step of the final assembly for building the camping kitchen yourself. Now continue with Step 2: build the side parts!

Step 2: Build Camping kitchen underframe / Side panels
Material and Construction for the Base Frame
Material and construction of the base frame for the DIY camping kitchen. See also Material Bill of Materials assignment. Here too, the connector elements (Pos. 13+14) are driven into the aluminum square tubes (Pos. 9+10+11) with a plastic hammer. Previously, the joint connectors (Pos. 13) must be prepared for assembly.
1. Build base frame element (A)
First we build the side parts for the base frame of the camping kitchen. We need the finished part element (A) in duplicate.
2. Prepare the hinged connector
Joint connector (Pos. 13): Here we recommend replacing the screw on the inside of the black "outlet/tenon" with a self-locking M8 hexagon nut.
3. Drive in the hinged connector tenon
First glue the connector tenons (the removed black outlet from the joint connector (Pos. 13)) and then drive them flush into both tube ends (Pos. 10) with a plastic-headed hammer.
4. Screw the joints tight
Then screw the joints (Pos. 13) to the connector tenons (Pos. 13). On one side, replace the screw with the handwheel (Pos. 16). On the other side, fasten the joint (Pos. 13) with the standard screw (Pos. 13).
5. The finished side elements (A)
Here too, drive all remaining 3D plug connectors (pos. 14) firmly into the aluminium square tubes (Pos. 10+11) with a plastic hammer until a closed frame is formed. For the outer sides we build this finished element (A) a second time.
6. Connect the side elements (A) together
Now the side elements are connected to each other by the two profiles (Pos. 09). The profile for the diagonal (Pos. 12) is fastened with the four self-tapping metal screws (Pos. 15).
7. Finished base frame for the camping kitchen
With these instructions we have now built the finished foldable camping-table base frame. Last of all now comes Step 3: Final assembly!
Step 3: Final Assembly
Required Material for Final Assembly
For the final assembly of the camping kitchen, we need the pre-built base frame from step 1, the finished top part from step 2, and the remaining 2 hinges (item 5) and the 8 self-tapping screws (item 7).
1. Connect the camping kitchen's upper and lower frame
Attach hinges (Pos. 5) about 60 mm from the outer edge of the profile using the self-tapping screws (Pos. 7), thereby connecting the base frame and the system-carrier top part so they can fold.
2. Holes for locking the side panels
Mark a point on the underside of the top part. Pre-drill through the first wall of the profile with a small drill bit. Then re-drill with a 13 mm drill bit. The screws (Pos. 17) are then screwed into the threads of the plug connectors (Pos. 14) as fixing bolts.
3. The self-built camping kitchen is finished
Done! The do-it-yourself camping kitchen can now be fitted entirely as you like with the practical ALUSTECK® system-tray sets and worktops. You'll find the accessory products for the camping kitchen further down this page or in the category Camping kitchen project accessories in our online shop.
