The Assembly of the DIY Indoor Firewood Racks
With these do-it-yourself building instructions, you can easily build a log rack yourself! The components for the shelf frame consist of high-quality anodized aluminum profiles in an elegant design and our square connectors from the 25 x 25 mm series. Choose light grey or black connector elements for the construction, entirely according to your taste.
You also have the option to paint the complete frame of your do-it-yourself firewood rack and thus design its color entirely according to your own taste. Assembly only requires a little manual skill and is child's play. You can find all individual steps for building it yourself in our free PDF construction plan. The materials from our range
The complete DIY firewood rack consists of a 25 x 25 mm aluminum plug-in system for the construction, a wooden base plate with 2 mm thickness, two commercially available frosted glass panels in a size of 400 x 600 mm, and some mirror adhesive tape. The glass panels for the side cladding can be obtained, for example, from specialist glass retailers, in well-stocked hardware stores like Toom or Bauhaus, or at IKEA* (for example, IKEA BESTA top panels, 400 x 600 mm / article number: 202.707.22). Base plates or shelves can be found at specialist timber retailers or also at hardware stores. Please refer to our do-it-yourself firewood rack construction plan for the appropriate dimensions of the panel elements.

FAQ: Building a firewood shelf
The ALUSTECK® system enables easy assembly without welding and offers high stability and durability.
In addition to the ALUSTECK® aluminium profiles, you need plug connectors, a suitable back panel (e.g. wood or metal) and, if necessary, a base plate.
The shelf can be screwed to the wall with wall brackets or directly to ensure additional stability.
The size of the rack depends on the available space and the required storage space. A common width is between 60 cm and 100 cm, and the height can be designed variably.
Building a simple firewood rack usually takes between 2 and 4 hours, depending on your experience and the scope of the project. Thanks to the simple plug-in system, assembly is significantly accelerated.
Yes, the modular ALUSTECK® system allows you to expand or rebuild the shelf at any time to adapt it to changing needs.
