General Notes on the ALUSTECK® Profile Range

For cutting orders, please specify if a "miter cut" is desired for the aluminium square tubes i.e., a vertical 90° cut of the square and a 45° cut of the webs (required when webs meet at a connector). Miter cuts for square profiles at an angle other than 45° are not performed by us.

Due to the web positions on our square tubes, the profile series with single webs (R ST, R 2ST, R 2ST/W and R 2ST/WA) cannot be combined within a frame with the double-web profile series ((R DST(9), R 2DST(9), R 2DST(9)/LR and R 3DST(9))! Also, the web positions of the square profiles with double webs of 16 mm width are not compatible with the positions of the profiles with 9 mm width. You receive our anodized aluminium square tubes, however, the surface treatments are carried out before cutting – meaning the cut edges are blank.

Aluminium square tubes with the addition "BLANK" in the item no. may show production-related surface defects (scratches, extrusion marks) and are not corrosion-resistant.

Due to their own weight, the aluminium tubes will deflect, which varies depending on the profile type and length as well as web position (0-7.5 mm for a length up to max. 3 m). Soft supports (foam mats etc.) increase this deflection. If supports are to be used, limit them as much as possible to the profile area where the connector pins are located (i.e., completely on the left and right)!
